Voltage Transformers
Match the power equipment to the lighting system before choosing a transformer or driver. A landscape transformer, a constant-voltage power supply and a constant-current LED driver serve different electrical requirements; similar wattage labels do not make them interchangeable.
Start with the light manufacturer's requirements for input type, voltage and, where applicable, current. Check whether the system uses AC or DC and whether it requires constant-voltage or constant-current operation. Then select equipment with the required capacity and any operating headroom specified by its manufacturer. Dimming compatibility, installation environment and enclosure requirements also need to match. Use the exact model specifications and compatibility information rather than a universal loading percentage or a voltage number alone.
