Outdoor Ceiling Lights

Light a covered porch, entry overhang or patio from the ceiling with a fixture suited to that outdoor position. A compact overhead light can work where a hanging pendant would interfere with doors or the available clearance.

Check the location rating against the moisture and weather the installation will encounter. Measure the fixture's depth as well as its width, leaving the clearance required by the product and the surrounding doors or structure. Compare the light output with the size and use of the area rather than assuming every porch needs the same brightness. Review the power connection, bulb or LED requirements and any controls. Choose the finish to complement nearby exterior fixtures without assuming they are a matching series.
